Start-Up Collections

The Norcross History Center ™ envisions creating a fully-operational museum in the city of Norcross with ever-expanding, rotating exhibits to serve as a repository of oral histories, photos, documents, letters, artifacts, and memorabilia related to the town's developmental history.

Planning now underway for exhibiting Starter Collections includes these focus areas:

• AMERICANA (Family Life, Founding Families, Famous Sons and Daughters, Early Education)
• AFRICAN - AMERICAN EXPERIENCE
• THE RAILROAD
• SPORTS HISTORY
• NATIVE AMERICAN

Future plans include housing a Reading Room available by appointment to selective researchers.

Photography Contest!

Prizes in each Category! Round Up your old photographs taken up through the 1950’s. We will scan and return the photographs. Some categories include:

• Oldest Documented Photograph
• Oldest Family Portrayed in Photograph
• Oldest Wedding Photograph
• Oldest Picture in Military Service Uniform
• Best Children’s Photograph
• Best Downtown Photograph
• Best Picture in a Service Uniform
